2cupscooked pastaelbow macaroni or penne work great
1 ½cupsshredded cheddar cheese
½cupmozzarella cheeseoptional for topping
1tbspolive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add sauces: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Combine with pasta: Add cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well.
Layer casserole: Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly on top. Add mozzarella if using.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
